Cambodia looks forward to hosting 12th ASEAN Para Games
The participation of ASEAN member countries in the 12th ASEAN Para Games is not only a success for the host country but also the entire ASEAN family, Secretary-General of the National Paralympic Committee of Cambodia Yi Veasna has said.

Phnom Penh (VNA)🌳 – The participation of ASEAN member countries in the 12th ASEAN Para Games is notonly a success for the host country but also the entire ASEAN family, Secretary-General of the National Paralympic Committee of Cambodia Yi Veasna hassaid.
Speaking after the second meeting of the Coordination Committeeof the ASEAN Para Sports Federation and Cambodia ASEAN Para Games OrganisingCommittee (CAMAPGOC) in Phnom Penh, Yi Veasna emphasised that the event will bea good opportunity for Cambodia to promote its culture, peace, civilisation,and development to the world. Yi Veasna, who is also CAMAPGOC Deputy Secretary-General, affirmed that Cambodia is ready to host the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games2023, and warmly welcomes the athletes, members of the ASEAN sports delegations,and international visitors. Meanwhile, at the first Chef de Mission meeting for the 32ndSEA Games chaired by Samdech Tea Banh, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister,Minister of Defence, Chairman of the National Organising Committee of the 32ndSEA Games and 12th ASEAN Para Games (CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC), a representative from the Indonesian National Paralympic Committee, Sukanti Rahardjo Bintoro, said thatIndonesia greatly looks forward to Cambodia's hosting of the 12th ASEAN Para Gamesfrom June 3-9. According to him, hosting the event is not a simple task, requiring commitment, high attention to detail, andclose cooperation between all stakeholders. As there are only 35 days left until the 32nd SEA Games and64 days ahead of the 12th ASEAN Para Games, the host country Cambodia hasfinalised the list of 37 sports to compete in the two events respectively. So far, more than 500 athletes with disabilities haveregistered to compete at the games./.
