Ca Mau to put all administrative procedures online

The Mekong Delta province of Ca Mau aims to have all of its administrative procedures handled through its electronic one-stop information system this year.

TheMekong Delta province of Ca Mau aims to have all of itsadministrative procedures handled through its electronic one-stopinformation system this year.

Vice Chairman of the provincialPeople’s Committee Tran Hong Quan said improving online publicadministrative services will better serve theprovince’s socio-economic development goals.

The province also aims to haveat least 20 percent of online public services performed at levels 3and 4 to be integrated with the national public service portal.

It targets having about 20 percentof total administrative dossiers online, reducing meetingtimes by 30-50 percent, and minimising paper documents usedin meetings. 

In addition, allofficial documents exchanged between state agencies will bein electronic form.

The province aims to moveup five positions in the Public Administration Reform(PAR) Index ranking this year.

It also plansto boost its Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI)and Satisfaction Index of Public Administration Service(SIPAS) of individuals and organisations.

At least two percent of civilservants, 2.5 percent of the number of public non-business units, and two percentof the state payroll will be reduced compared to last year.

In addition, one more publicnon-business unit will operate with its own funding.

The province hopesto exceed its State budget collection target for 2020assigned by the National Assembly and the Government.

Its investment attraction andthe number of newly established enterprises are expected to rise 10 percentcompared to last year.

To achieve these goals, Quanhas asked departments and agencies in all sectors and levels topush forward with comprehensive reform of all of their work. 

The province will alsoimprove the professional capacity of civil servants and publicemployees as well as the quality of public servicesby simplifying administrative services.

The application ofinformation technology should be enhanced in administrative organisations,Quân said.

The heads of localities mustbe responsible for implementing administrative reforms, he said./.
