Hanoi (VNA)- The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) has presented the “Forpeace and friendship among nations” insignia to outgoing Bulgarian Ambassadorto Vietnam Evgueni Stoytchev for contributions to strengthening mutual understanding,friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Bui Khac Son, VUFOVice President, gave the honour to Ambassador Stoytchev at a ceremony held inHanoi on October 5.
Son said during his working term in Vietnam, Ambassador Stoytchev coordinatedclosely with Vietnamese agencies as well as the VUFO and the Vietnam-BulgariaFriendship Association in organising joint activities on major events of bothcountries.
He actively worked forthe promotion of friendship and cooperation of the two countries in variousfields, including the economy, culture and education.
Particularly, thediplomat and his spouse helped organise a dancing class at the Vietnam-Bulgariapre-school to introduce folk dances of Bulgaria, said Son.
Son expressed his hopethat in the future, in any position, Stoytchev will continue his efforts toboost the friendship and partnership between Vietnam and Bulgaria.
For his part, AmbassadorStoytchev said that he is delighted and proud of receiving the insignia.
Bulgaria is alwayshere whenever Vietnam needs, he stressed, adding that both sides should exertevery effort to further bilateral economic and trade collaboration to match theirpotential.
The diplomat alsopledged that in any position, he always works hard for the development offriendship and solidarity between the two peoples.-VNA
