Dien Bien (VNA) – The third Buddhist festival in Ban Flower season kickedoff in the northwestern province of Dien Bien on March 17, attracting manyvisitors.
Numerous events will be held during the thee-day festival, including a requiemfor fallen soldiers, a praying ceremony for peace and the second BuddhistCongress of Dien Bien province in 2017-2022 term.
The festival is part of the activities in 2017 of the Buddhist Sangha ofVietnam in Dien Bien province. It aims to enhance the solidarity of all ethnicgroups of Vietnam and introduce Vietnamese Buddhism, thus boosting tourismactivities in line with the provincial socio-economic development.-VNA
