British Educational Suppliers Show opens in HCM City
About 60 local and international educational technology companies are showcasing their products and services at the Vietnam British Educational Suppliers Show (BESS Vietnam) which kicked off in HCM City on March 5.

HCM City (VNA) - About 60 local and international educationaltechnology companies are showcasing their products and services at the VietnamBritish Educational Suppliers Show (BESS Vietnam) which kicked off in HCM Cityon March 5.
It is the first eventlaunched by the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) in Vietnam,following the success of BESS Asia in Malaysia and BESS Dubai in the United ArabEmirates.
The two-day eventcombines an all-around British exhibition of education services, resources andtraining suppliers alongside a conference with workshop sessions which coverthe latest developments and trends in the education sector.
Speaking at theopening ceremony, Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha said theuse of information and communication technologies and teaching and learning offoreign languages are crucial to making a breakthrough in the country’seducational reform amid the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The Ministry ofEducation and Training is looking to work with and transfer educationaltechnologies from local and foreign partners so that educational establishmentscan access advanced technologies and improve the quality of teaching and learning,Nha stated.
The event is anopportunity for education policymakers, administrators, lecturers and studentsto experience the latest educational technologies and learn of the latesteducational expertise from world-leading educational institutes and universities,he added.-VNA
As many as 30 memorandums of understanding on education and training cooperation were signed between educational institutions and enterprises of Vietnam and the UK during Vietnamese Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha’s visit to the European nation from January 20-26.
The programmes have brought about positive changes to rural infrastructure, comprehensively improved the material and spiritual lives of farmers, and contributed to Vietnam's economic restructuring, said PM Pham Minh Chinh.
