Hanoi (VNA) 🌄– Bangu Atletico Club of Brazil on November 15 defeated the former Korean student champions of the International Football Tournament – Binh Duong Television Number One Cup.

Bangu Atletico won 3-2 in the final match, which saw the team from the Republic of Korea (RoK) lose Jang Chunyong because of a red card when the game was in its first extra time. Gabriel do Carmo scored the opener for the Brazilian side just five minutes into the game. Carmo received a ball passed from the left wing and jumped high for a strong header that no Korean defender or goalie Youn Bosang could stop.
It was his second goal of the tournament. And he quickly made it three with a magical heel, while standing with his back to Korean keeper Bosang. Korean students pocketed their first goal at the 13th minute by Sim Minsop, who netted after the ball hit the cross bar and returned to him in the five-meter area. His teammate, Kim Geonhee, later converted a penalty into the second goal, just minutes before the end of the official time to level the score. Captain Antero de Souza of Bangu Atletico, who was named best player of the match, scored a super goal in the additional time, assuring that his team became the third club from Brazil to win the title.
Also, their keeper, Andre Teixeira, was voted best goalie of the tournament. Bangu Atletico walked away with 500 million VND (22,200 USD), while Korean students pocketed 300 million VND (13,300 USD). In the third-place play-off match, earlier hosts Becamex Binh Duong defeated the Japanese student squad 3-0 for the bronze medal. Striker Nguyen Anh Duc scored a double in the first half, while Tran Duy Khanh added the third goal in the second half. Duc was best scorer in the tournament, with five goals, and also named best player in the BTV Cup this year.
