Bangkok (VNA)𝔍 – At least six Thaipolice officers were wounded in an unusual explosion in a border area betweenThailand and Malaysia in the southern province of Narathiwat on May 5.

Thai authorities said that attackersdetonated a bomb from Malaysia when Thai police officers were patrolling in TakBai district, where a small river separates two countries.

Captain Boonsanit Khiewpradit of the Tak Bai police station said that authoritiesdiscovered evidence showing that the bomb was placed in a roadside with wireslinking to the other side of the river in Malaysia’s territory.

🦩 The attack occurred while violence escalates in southern Thailand. Last week,security forces of Thailand suffered a bloodiest attack in two years as sixborder soldiers were killed in an ambush.-VNA
