Vientiane (VNA) – Permanent Vice Secretary of theParty Committee of central Binh Thuan province Huynh Thanh Canh met Vice Chairwomanof the National Assembly of Laos Sisay Leudetmounsone during a reception inVientiane on August 22.
Canh, who is also head of the provincial National Assemblydeputies delegation, is on Lao visit from August 21-24 on the occasion of theYear of Vietnam-Laos Friendship and Solidarity 2017.
He reiterated that the Vietnamese Party, State and people ingeneral and the Party Committee, authorities and people of Binh Thuan inparticular always highly value special ties with Laos.
Sisay, for her part, said the event affords both sides achance to share experience and improve operating efficiency of the provincial-levelPeople’s Councils of Laos.
During their talks, the Vietnamese delegation and adelegation of the Lao National Assembly’s Committee on Deputies Affairs led byits head Phongsane Nhuttitham reviewed the working outcomes of the deputiesdelegation, including those regarding law-building, citizens’ reception,settlement of complaints, meeting with constituents, and other activities.
Phongsane said as the provincial-level People’s Councils ofLaos began working nearly one year ago, their experience and apparatuses remainlimited. Therefore, both sides should need to hold exchanges and consultationsto learn from experience so that they could well serve as an organ representinginterests of the people and think-tanks for the legislature.-VNA
