Binh Thuan (VNA) – 🔴Eleven houses in Tien Thanh commune in Phan Thiet city ofthe south central coastal province of Binh Thuan collapsed on December 20 dueto coast erosion triggered by high tide and strong wind.
More than 1,000mof coastline were seriously eroded, posing a threat to 49 other houses in thearea. The Thanh Haiborder post has sent soldiers to the site to move the homeless people to safeshelter. Vice Chairman ofthe People’s Committee of Phan Thiet city Nguyen Nam Long said the SteeringBoard for flood and storm control of the city has mobilised personnel to helplocal residents reinforce their houses and build temporary dykes.
