Hanoi (VNA) – The Binh Son Oil Refinery Co Ltd (BSR) was honoured with the National Environment Award 2017 by the Ministry of Natural Resourcesand Environment for applying effective solutions in production andbusiness activities, and in environmental protection.

BSR said its Dung Quat refinery factory No. 4 has four main facilities fortreating and protecting the environment, including the residue fluid catalytic cracking (RFCC) unit, the the sulfur recovery units 1 and 2, and the wastewater treatment system.

With a total investment of 27.8 million USD and equipped withmodern devices from G7 countries, the wastewater treatment system of thefactory is working to treat all wastewater discharged from productionactivities of the plant.

All post-treatment wastewater parameters of the plant are always lower than theallowed limit of national standard QCVN 40:2011/BTNMT.

Not only have good performance in the waste and wastewater treatment work, BSRalso applies many initiatives to reduce the risk of harm to the environment,and bring high profits to the plant.-VNA
