Binh Duong, Cambodia’s localities step up cooperation
The southern province of Binh Duong and two Cambodian provinces of Kandal and Kratie have agreed to enhance cooperation and twining activities for 2018-19 period.

Binh Duong (VNA) – The southern province of Binh Duong and twoCambodian provinces of Kandal and Kratie have agreed to enhance cooperation andtwining activities for 2018-19 period.
Under a document to this effect was signed in Binh Duong on October 17 betweenthe two sides, the Military Commands of Thu Dau Mot city, and Thuan An, Di An,Tan Uyen and Ben Cat towns and their counterparts in Kandal and Kratieprovinces will bolster collaboration in the exchange of delegations,information and culture-sports activities while working together in the search forand repatriation of remains of the Vietnamese volunteers and soldiers who laiddown their lives during wartime in Cambodia.
Regarding twining activities, they will share experience in building their organisations,coordinate to ensure security of both sides, while agreeing to hold meetingsevery six months or unscheduled meetings to address complicated issues.
They will conduct regular delegation exchanges, carry out free medical checkupsand medicine for poor residents in the localities, and create favourableconditions for citizens living in the two countries in line with currentregulations of both sides.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’sCommittee of Binh Duong province Dang Minh Hung affirmed that the minutessigning helps promote traditional and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnamand Cambodia. -VNA
Ho Chi Minh City is willing to continue taking measures to enhance its friendship and connection with Cambodian localities in order to further develop the Vietnam-Cambodia relations.
Chairman of the People’s Committee of southern Tay Ninh province Pham Van Tan has asked Cambodian localities bordering Vietnam to continue implementing cooperative programmes for the interests of the two peoples.
Construction for the Viet Hoa International School officially started on September 10 in Hoa Phu ward, Thu Dau Mot city in the southern province of Binh Duong.
The programmes have brought about positive changes to rural infrastructure, comprehensively improved the material and spiritual lives of farmers, and contributed to Vietnam's economic restructuring, said PM Pham Minh Chinh.

The programme on sustainable poverty reduction has achieved its annual targets for reducing the poverty rate as assigned by the National Assembly and the Government. At a review conference held on June 21, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh praised the province’s scientific, coordinated, and flexible approach.
