Binh Dinh prioritises coastal tourism projects

Authorities of central Binh Dinh province have directed agencies to seek investment in coastal tourism projects, in an effort to develop tourism into a key economic sector.

Binh Dinh (VNA) – Authorities of central Binh Dinh province have directedagencies to seek investment in coastal tourism projects, in an effort todevelop tourism into a key economic sector.

With 134kmof coast, Binh Dinh is blessed with seaports, gulfs, lagoons, smooth sandbanks, and mountain ranges.

A priorityproject is the Tan Thanh tourism area in Cat Hai commune, Phu Cat district,which lies north of the Nhon Hoi economic zone. It will feature a world-classhotel and resort complex with a golf course, recreational area and conferencehall on a site of 125ha.

The projectis expected to be built between 2016 and 2020 at a cost of 250 million USD.

Tan Thanhbeach, described as “Heaven on Earth”, has optimal conditions for water sportssuch as water-skiing, scuba diving, kayaking and gliding.

As part ofthe Nhon Hoi economic zone, the 150 million USD Vinh Hoi tourism area in CatHai commune, Phu Cat district will sprawl across 230ha, offering resort villas,hotels, golf courses, restaurants and other service facilities.

Vinh Hoibeach is known for its crystal-clear water, casuarina forests and proximity torelic and ecological sites such as Ba mountain, Tan Thanh wharf and Trung Luongsea.

Anotherproject inside the Mui Rong – Tay Phung tourism zone in My Tho commune, Phu Mydistrict plans to build a spiritual and ecological tourism area at a cost of100 million USD between 2016 and 2020.

The MuiRong – Tay Phung tourism zone is nearly 20km from Phu My township to the east.Mui Rong (Dragon Fin Cape) are rocky rapids heading to the ocean with a cavepassing into the sea, which looks like a dragon’s mouth. According to the myth,it is shaped like fish fin and called “Dragon Fin stone” by locals.

Chairman ofthe provincial People’s Committee Ho Quoc Dung said the province has offered severalincentives, including 11-year land lease tax waive, four-year corporate taxwaiver and a 50 percent tax reduction for nine years, among others./.
