Billiards players go to world three-cushion champs

Vietnamese players have been invited to take part in the Carom Billiards Three-Cushion World Championships in Portugal from September 5-9.
Vietnamese players have beeninvited to take part in the Carom Billiards Three-Cushion WorldChampionships in Portugal from September 5-9. They include Nguyen Quoc Nguyen, Duong Anh Vu and Tran Quyet Chien.
Chien got his chance by winning a bronze medal at the Asian Billiards Championships in HCM City in July. Nguyen bagged a gold medal at the 26th Southeast Asian Games inIndonesia last year, and Vu, No 38 in the world rankings, earned asilver medal at the third Asian Indoor Games in Vietnam . After returning from Portugal, the players will have an opportunity tocompete in the Carom Billiard Three-Cushion World Cup in the Republic ofKorea from September 19-23.-VNA
