BIDV vows to improve social welfare in Yen Bai

The Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) has pledged the provision of 30 billion VND (1.32 million USD) for social welfare and poverty reduction efforts in Yen Bai province.

Yen Bai (VNA) – The Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) has pledged the provision😼 of 30 billion VND (1.32 million USD) for social welfare and poverty reduction efforts in the northwestern mountainous💙 province of Yen Bai.

The funding will be allocated to Tram Tau and Mu Cang Chai districts in the next five years.
The bank will establish a working group to coordinate with the provincial People’s Committee in studying a development plan for high-quality agricultural and forest production, and fund for three agricultural engineers to learn about production technology transfer in Japan and China’s Taiwan from nine to 14 months. Speaking highly of the role of BIDV – Yen Bai branch in supporting the province’s enterprises and its implementation of social welfare policies, Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Pham Thi Thanh Tra suggested the bank continue its assistance for the locality.
On this occasion, BIDV also presented an ambulance worth 1.2 billion VND (52,800 USD) for the province. It also granted 1,500 New Year gifts totaling 450 million VND (19,800 USD) to poor people and 10 houses worth 500 million VND (22,000 USD) to the families of those who rendered service to the nation. BIDV is an active sponsor of socio-economic development in the Northwest, financing nearly 4.4 trillion VND (146.43 million USD) for hydro-power projects and donating 91 billion VND ( 4 million USD) to social welfare efforts.-VNA
