National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man on October 5 asked Ho Chi Minh City to remove obstacles in terms of mechanisms and policies to grow further, matching its potential and advantages.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on August 30 attended the inauguration of second-phase Vinh Tuy bridge, which spans the Hong (Red) River and connects Hanoi’s Hai Ba Trung and Long Bien districts.

Working sessions will be held between Government leaders with Ho Chi Minh City authorities on a quarterly basis to seek ways to remove difficulties and boost socio-economic development of the southern economic hub, said Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh while working with municipal leaders on July 27.

The investment plans of some expressway projects were debated at the third sitting of the 15th National Assembly on June 6.

The Prime Minister has agreed on the Transport Ministry’s proposal on assigning five localities to carry out projects of Belt Road No.4 of Ho Chi Minh City.
