A high-ranking delegation from the Ministry of National Defence led by Minister Phan Van Giang attended the 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum that opened in Beijing on September 13.

Gen. Phan Van Giang, Vice Secretary of the Central Military Commission and Minister of National Defence, visited the Academy of Military Science (AMS) of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China and Brigade 6 under the PLA’s Army Group 82 on October 29.

Gen. Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Vice Secretary of the Central Military Commission and Minister of National Defence of Vietnam, had talks with Sen. Lt. Gen. He Weidong, Politburo member and Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission of China, in Beijing on October 28.

Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Sen. Lieut. Gen Nguyen Phuong Nam hosted a reception in Hanoi on November 12 for a delegation from the National Immigration Administration of China led by its deputy head Zhao Changhua.

A high-ranking Vietnamese military delegation led by Defence Minister General Ngo Xuan Lich paid an official visit to China from October 26-28 at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Sen. Lieut. Gen. Wei Fenghe.
