Bangkok (VNA) – A poll by Thailand’s NationalInstitute of Development Administration (Nida), conducted from March 15-21,showed that the majority of eligible voters in Bangkok sees Pita Limjaroenrat,the leader of the Move Forward Party (MFP), as best suited for the post ofprime minister in the upcoming general election.
The survey was conducted by interviews with 2,500 eligiblevoters aged 18 and over of various levels of various levels of education,occupations and incomes in the 50 districts of the capital.
When asked which candidate they would support in the nextelection, 25.08% of the respondents chose Pita, while 24.2% favoured PaetongtarnShinawatra of the Pheu Thai Party. The current PM, Prayut Chan-o-cha of theUnited Thai Nation Party (UTN), came third with a rate of 18.24%.
Concerning parties that respondents to the poll said they wouldsupport in the list system, the Pheu Thai Party obtained at the first place(34.4%), followed by the MFP (28.96%), and UTN (14.68%).
