Bac Giang (VNA) – A workshop wasrecently held in Bac Giang to seek ways to develop tourism in the northernprovince.
Participants discussed cooperation programmesbetween State management agencies and businesses in the field, as well asshared experience in providing tour packages, improving the quality of humanresources, and attracting investment to tourism.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’sCommittee Le Anh Duong said the locality will focus on developing spiritual,ecological, garden, community-based, and trade village tourism.

At the workshop, the provincial People’sCommittee coordinated with the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group tolaunch a smart tourism portal of Bac Giang at htpp://mybacgiang.vn and smarttourism app.
Located in the Lang Son - Hanoi - Hai Phong - QuangNinh economic corridor and bestowed with stunning natural landscapes like TayYen Tu Natural Reserve, Khe Ro primeval forest, Dong Cao plateau, and KhuonThan lake, Bac Giang province possesses huge potential to build various kindsof tourism products.
The province is home to more than 2,200 historicand cultural relic sites, including Quan ho (romantic duet singing) which wasrecognised as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and Ca Truwhich was inscribed in the UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritages inneed of urgent protection.
It has tremendous possibilities to connect localtourism attractions with key tourism sites in the north such as Mau Son (LangSon province), Nui Coc Lake (Thai Nguyen province), Ban Gioc waterfall (CaoBang province), Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh province), and Con Son - Kiep Bac (HaiDuong province).-VNA
