Australian travel agencies survey destinations in Binh Thuan

A group of about 20 buyers from travel agencies in Australia took a famtrip to the south-central coastal province of Binh Thuan from September 10 – 12.

Binh Thuan (VNA) – A group of about 20 buyersfrom travel agencies in Australia took a famtrip to the south-central coastalprovince of Binh Thuan from September 10 – 12.

The trip was expected to help Binh Thuan expandinternational markets and robustly revive local tourism industry, according tothe provincial tourism promotion information centre. It also provided an opportunity for the province to popularise its signature tourism products andpromote itself as a safe, friendly and quality destination.

The Australian buyers visited a number of popular touristattractions in the province, including Bau Trang (White Lake), Ke GaLighthouse, Lang Chai Xua (Old Fishing Village) Fish Sauce Museum, Wine Castle,Poshanu Cham Tower, and Duc Thanh School.

Additionally, they also had a look into accommodation and cateringservices at several local hotels in Ham Tien – Mui Ne, Tien Thanh and the cityof Phan Thiet.

Binh Thuan boasts a 192-km coastline with beautiful beaches,fresh air and tropical climate. It has become popular among professionalwindsurfers and kite-surfers from the UK, France, Russia, Germany, and others.

With the COVID-19 kept at bay, Binh Thuan has been welcoming anincreasing number of visitors. In the first eight months of this year, touristarrivals to the province almost doubled that of the same period last year toreach around 3.4 million. Tourism revenue was estimated at over 8.31 trillionVND (353.33 million USD).

Since the beginning of the year, the province served morethan 42,000 foreign travellers./.
