The General Department for Sports andPhysical Training reported at a conference on January 14 that in 2014,the country’s sport representative brought home a total of 355 gold, 253silver, and 272 bronze medals, including 22 golds, 23 silvers and 32bronzes from world sport events; 29 golds, 32 silvers and 60 bronzes inAsian events; and 242 golds, 171 silvers and 133 bronzes in SoutheastAsian events.

The U23 competition will run from June 16 to 22, followed by the U17 event from June 23 to 28, while athletes competing in the U23 category will undergo weight and skill checks ahead of the matches starting June 18, while similar checks for U17 athletes will take place before June 23.
