Atthe two-day Asia-Pacific Regional Conference of Solidarity with Cuba inVientiane, which ended on March 20, VUFO President also called forpeople in the world to join efforts to ask for unconditional removal ofblockade and lifting of embargo on Cuba.

He requested freedom for five Cuban antiterrorist fighters being imprisoned in US.

The conference, which attracted 200 delegates from 21 regionalcountries and the World Peace Council called for the protection of Cuba’s independence, sovereignty and right to self-determination as well asmore efforts to expand the movement of solidarity with Cuba in eachcountry./.
