The ASEAN Experts Group on Competition (AEGC) has launched an interactive website in a bid to promote and protect competitive process among member nations in the Southeast Asian region.

The AEGC website were officiallyannounced at the 12th AEGC meeting on November 12 in Cebu, thePhilippines, and can be accessed at //www.aseancompetition.org, according to a press release by t he ASEAN Secretariat.
Apart from being a platform for the AEGC members to interact and shareinformation, the website serves to support advocacy efforts as a wholein disseminating information on the benefits of competition policy andlaw and competition-related developments in ASEAN to the public,including information on cases and rulings within ASEAN member states.
The development of website and advocacy collaterals is the first ofthe two-phased project to increase advocacy efforts on competitionpolicy and law in the region, and supported under ASEAN-GIZ Project onCompetition Policy and Law. The second phase will involve developingtools for customized advocacy strategies and collecting case studies onadvocacy programmes within ASEAN member states.
The RegionalCompetition Advocacy project is one of the initiatives under the ASEANEconomic Community ( AEC ) Blueprint that is defined in the AEGCmedium-term work plan and AEGC key deliverables for 2015.
