New Delhi (VNA) – Thelargest ever ASEAN-India business and investment summit will be held in 🍌NewDelhi capital city of India in January 2018, announced Indian Prime Minister NarendraModi.

He revealed the information duringthe ASEAN Business and Investment Summit on November 13 in Manila, thePhilippines, underlying the importance of building connectivity with the ASEANregion to strengthen its economic ties with India. A conference to discuss increasingconnectivity between both sides is also set to take place next month in NewDelhi, the Indian PM added. According to Modi, India’s Look EastPolicy puts ASEAN at the centre of the country’s engagement. Therefore,connectivity with ASEAN by land and sea remains India’s priority. India is seeking to extend theongoing trilateral highway project, which involves Myanmar and Thailand, tothree other countries. In addition, a maritime transportagreement between ASEAN and India is in progress, Modi said.-VNA
