Beijing (VNA) – The Association of SoutheastAsian Nations (ASEAN) and China will organise the 22nd meeting of their JointWorking Group on the Implementation of the Declaration on the Conduct ofParties in the East Sea (DOC) in Manila, the Philippines, on August 30.

Spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Hua Chunyingtold a press briefing on August 29 that at the meeting, involved parties willexchange views on the implementation of the DOC, intensifying maritimecooperation and consultation on a Code of Conduct in the East Sea (COC).

She said parties concerned will continue the momentum ofdialogue and cooperation, strive for more progress, and pave way for furtherconsultation on the COC.-VNA
