Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Bounthong Chitmany, permanent member of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee’s Secretariat and Vice President of Laos, on the sidelines of the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related meetings in Vientiane on October 11.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh called on ASEAN member nations to foster unity and take resilience as the foundation to enter a new phase of development with new thinking and momentum, and refreshed outlook, in his keynote speech at the plenary session of the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits which opened in Vientiane on October 9.

Laos has announced the theme and logo for its the Chairmanship of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 2024.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has told Lao Minister of Planning and Investment Khamchen Vongphosy that Vietnam always attaches great importance to and give the highest priority to maintaining and developing its special relationship with Laos, considering it as a valuable asset with an important role in the revolutionary cause in each country.
