The Argentina – Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group debuted in Buenos Aires on August 17, ahead of the 72nd anniversary of National Day of Vietnam (September 2).

Opening the event, VicePresident of the Chamber of Deputies of Argentina Patricia Viviana Giménez expressedher belief that the group will actively contribute to strengthening bilateralpolitical, economic and trade ties as well as relations between Vietnamese andArgentine legislatures.
Vietnamese Ambassador toArgentina Dang Xuan Dung hailed the group as a parliamentary diplomatic channelto promote bilateral multifaceted ties, adding that the two countries arepreparing for the 45th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties by2018.
He pledged to work closelywith the group and the Argentine parliament to enhance bilateral ties in thefuture.
Chairwoman of the Argentina –Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group Elva Susana Balbo presented thegroup’s guidelines and orientations, saying that it will serve as a bridge tofurther tighten friendly links between the two legislatures.
On the occasion, Argentine parliamentarians expressedtheir wish to share experience with Vietnam in poverty reduction, sustainableeconomic growth and supplementary fields.-VNA
