Da Nang (VNA) - TheInternational Media Centre for the 2017 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC) Economic Leaders’ Week officially opened on October 28 in Da Nang city, servingdomestic and international reporters to cover the event.
Addressing the event, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minhhailed joint efforts of Da Nang and relevant ministries and agencies in completingthe project on schedule.
The week is an important event attracting special attention from domestic and,regional and international media, he said, adding about 2,600 Vietnamese andforeign reporters registered to cover the event.
Apart from serving reporters' activities, the centre provides information and introducesand promotes socio-economic development and achievements of Doi moi (reform),external policies, land and people of Vietnam, Minh said.
The media centre, which covers 1.3ha, will provide working space for nearly3,000 journalists during the APEC meeting from November 6-11.
The centre operates from 7:00 to 22:00every day, and runs to 24:00 on the two summit days.-VNA
