Anti-dumping investigation launched against Chinese aluminium products

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has decided to conduct an anti-dumping investigation into aluminium, alloy or non-alloy rods, bars and products of other shapes imported from China.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Industry and Tradehas decided to conduct an anti-dumping investigation into aluminium, alloy ornon-alloy rods, bars and products of other shapes imported from China.

Under Decision 33/QD-BCT, the products under investigationare coded HS 7604.10.10, 7604.10.90, 7604.29.10, and 7604.29.90, with their accuseddumping amplitude measured at 35.58 percent.

The ministry said these products have caused damage todomestic production, as reflected through decreases in inventory, profit, and capacityusage ratio, among others.

The investigation is launched at the request of four localshape aluminium producers – Austdoor, Song Hong Aluminium JSC, Tung Yang Co.Ltd, and MienHua company, which hold a combined 31.54 percent of the domesticoutput.

Other companies can registered as a related party in thecase before February 28.-VNA
