Another COVID-19 infection case detected in Hanoi

Hanoi recorded another COVID-19 infection case in the early morning of January 30, who returned from the northern province of Hai Duong.

Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi recorded anotherCOVID-19 infection case in the early morning of January 30, who returned fromthe northern province of Hai Duong.

The 41-year-old man resides in Xuan Phuong ward, NamTu Liem district, and works for a factory in the outskirts district of DongAnh.

On January 16, he had close contact with a COVID-19patient in Kinh Mon district, Hai Duong province, according to the Hanoi Centrefor Disease Control.

He displayed symptoms of cough, fatigue and headacheand went to the medical centre of Nam Tu Liem district to report his travelhistory on January 29. His sample test result turned out positive for thecoronavirus SARS-Cov-2 one day later.

The man is now under treatment at the NationalHospital for Tropical Diseases No. 2 in Dong Anh district.

Local authorities found 29 F1 cases, including sevenin Nam Tu Liem district, and 22 in Dong Anh. More efforts are being made totrace F2 and F3 cases./.

A 2023 report by the Vietnam Health Economics Association estimated that the total cost of tobacco-related healthcare and economic losses reached 108 trillion VND (4.14 billion USD) annually – equivalent to 1.14% of GDP and five times higher than the budget revenue generated by the tobacco industry.

♓ Vietnam, France collaborate in vaccine production technology transfer

Under the agreement, VNVC and Sanofi will gradually implement technology transfers to enable domestic production of several key Sanofi vaccines that are widely used in Vietnam. In addition, Sanofi will support VNVC in training human resources and quality management in vaccine research and manufacturing.
