Paris (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassadorto Portugal Dinh Toan𓆏 Thang presented his letter of credentials to Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa inLisbon on October 20.

Thang pledged thatduring his tenure, he would make positive contributions to strengthening the bilateral friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The ambassa💎dor conveyed an invitation to visit Vietnam from President N🅺guyen Xuan Phuc to the Portuguese President.

President Rebelo de Sousa,for his part, hailed thepositive developments in bilateral ties over the past years. He wished that both countries would strive to tap the potential of cooperation to deepen their bilateralrelationship and uphold the tradition of 45 years ofbilateral diplomatic ties. The host hoped that theambassador will fulfill his assigned tasks and make important contributions toVietnam – Portugal ties together with both countries' agencies and partners./.
