Airports designated to serve flights from RoK’s epidemic-hit areas

Flights departing from epidemic-hit areas in the Republic of Korea (RoK) will land at designated airports in Vietnam in a move to help prevent the spread of the acute respiratory disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), said the Ministry of Transport on February 26.

Hanoi (VNA) – Flights departingfrom epidemic-hit areas in the Republic of Korea (RoK) will land at designatedairports in Vietnam in a move to help prevent the spread of the acuterespiratory disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), said the Ministry ofTransport on February 26.

Those airports are Van Don in Quang Ninhprovince in the north, Phu Cat in Binh Dinh province in the south-centralregion, and Can Tho in the southern city of the same name.

All passengers of the flights will have tofill in the health declaration forms. Vietnamese passengers should considerbefore returning as they are to go into a 14-day quarantine, the ministry noted.

Airlines are also recommended to reduce andrestrict flights linking the RoK and Vietnam for efficient COVID-19 control.

Relevant agencies in aviation, tourism andgoods transport in border regions are requested to strictly follow measures onthe prevention and control of the disease, as well as keep a close watch on thepeople entering the country via border gates./.
