- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has issued an officialdispatch, requesting ministries, sectors, and localities to continue vigorouslyand effectively implementing fire prevention and control measures nationwide.
Accordingly, Chairpersons of People's Committeesof provinces and centrally-run cities were asked to direct the People'sCommittees at all levels and relevant agencies to strictly fulfill theirresponsibilities for forest fire prevention and control management; and enhanceinspection and supervision activities for forest fire prevention and controlearly, from afar, and from the grassroots level, considering this as a key andcontinuous task. - Nearly 70 Vietnamese expatriates from 22 countries recentlyreturned to their homeland and visited the Truong Sa (Spratly) and DKIplatform, as part of a trip co-organised by the State Committee for OverseasVietnamese Affairs and the High Command of the Vietnam People's Navy.
From April 24 to 30, they went to the islands ofSinh Ton Dong, Len Dao, Da Dong, and Da Tay, the Truong Sa township, and theDKI/14 Phuc Tan platform, where they met residents, officers and soldiers;attended musical exchanges; and visited local schools, pagodas, and households. Read full story

- As many as 51,600 new enterprises with total registered capital of nearly 508trillion VND (20 billion USD) were established in the first four months of2024, representing year-on-year increases of 3.4% in the number of businessesand 9.3% in the capital, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).
