- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warned Vietnamese citizens not to travel to Lebanon, Iran, and Israel at this time, given the escalation of tentions between the three countries, posing risks to people’s safety and property.

- The election of State President To Lam by the 13th Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee affirms solidarity within the party, Emeritus Professor Carl Thayer at the University of New South Wales has said in an interview granted to the Vietnam News Agency.

- The 27th ASEAN Directors-General of Immigration Departments and Heads of Consular Affairs Divisions of Ministries of Foreign Affairs Meeting (DGICM 27) and its related meetings will be held in Nha Trang city, the south-central coastal province of Khanh Hoa, from August 12-16, heard a press conference on August 6.

- Vietnam is expected to maintain a trade surplus for the ninth consecutive year in 2024, given its export growth in the remainders of the year equal to that during January-July, according to experts.
