Hanoi (VNA) - A jointanti-terrorism actual-troop drill of member countries of ASEAN DefenceMinisters' Meeting Plus (ADMM+) concluded in Guilin, southern China's GuangxiZhuang Autonomous Region. on November 21.
The drill started on November 13 with the participation of morethan 800 personnel, 10 aircraft and over 60 armoured vehicles from 10 ASEAN memberstates, eight dialogue partners and an ASEANmilitary medical centre.
This is the largest land-based counter-terrorism drill since2011, when an experts' working group on counter-terrorism was established forADMM+ countries. The drill aimed to deepen the exchanges and cooperationamong the militaries of the countries and enhance their capabilities to jointlytackle various security challenges.
The ADMM+ countries include 10 ASEAN member states andeight dialogue partners - Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, theRepublic of Korea, Russia and the United States./.
