Academy asked to uphold role as leading training institution of politics

Hanoi (VNA) - Prime MinisterPham Minh Chinh emphasised the position, role, and importance of the Ho ChiMinh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) in training staff, during a workingsession with representatives of the academy on January 6 afternoon.

According to the PM, the academy has inherited itsglorious history and traditions, comprehensively fulfilling tasks assigned bythe Party and the State, significantly contributing to the nationalconstruction and defence, and making strategic breakthroughs in human resourcesdevelopment.

The leader underlined the need for the academy to closely follow thepolicies, orientations and directions of the Party and State, and continue tostrongly and comprehensively innovate all aspects of its operation toexcellently complete its tasks.
The PM urged the academy to further strengthen trainingand scientific research, international cooperation, and policy consultation.

The academy's leaders, staff, and lecturers must have highpolitical determination and constantly strive to affirm the institution’s identityand position as a leading national centre in the training of leaders,managers for the Party and State, the PM said.

They must always be a team that the Party and people absolutelytrust in terms of politics, ideology, revolutionary ethics, lifestyle, andbehaviour, he added.

It is necessary to pay special heed to party-building work in the academy, and fightingcorruption and other negative phenomena, and internal “self-evolution” and “self-transformation, the leader said.

He affirmed that the Government always supports and accompaniesthe academy, expressing his belief that the establishment will complete itstasks in 2024 and make greater contributions to the national construction and defence./.
