Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - Nearly 1,000 cyberattacks caused problems in information systems in Vietnam last month, ayear-on-year increase of nearly 20%.
From the beginning of this year to the end ofSeptember, the Authority of Information Security had recorded, warned andhelped handle 9,519 cyber attacks on information systems.
There are nearly 1,060 cyber attacks causingproblems to information systems on average each month in the first nine monthsof the year.
To ensure network information security, theMinistry of Information and Communications said it would strengthen thescanning work in Vietnamese cyberspace.
The ministry will continue to evaluate, make statistics andpromote communications and warnings while urging a review of weaknesses,vulnerabilities, and signs of cyber attacks to State agencies, informationsecurity units, financial institutions, and banks./.
Vietnam recorded more than 240 cyber-attacks between January 29 and February 5 when the nation was celebrating Tet, Vietnam’s traditional New Year holiday, according the Ministry of Information and Communications’ Authority of Information Security (AIS).
