KhanhHoa (VNA) – Sixty-three girls nationwide have been selected to competein the semi-final round of the Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 in Nha Trang beach cityof the south central province of Khanh Hoa. Thesemi-final round will run from October 27 to November 4. Afterwards, the top 45candidates will enter the final round, which is scheduled to take place fromNovember 5 to December 2. Inthe final round, contestants will attend a number of side events in Nha Trangand Da Lat city of the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong. The final galawill be held at the Crown Convention Centre in Nha Trang on December 2. Inthe contest in 2015, which also took place in Nha Trang city, the crown waspresented to Pham Thi Huong from the northern port city of Hai Phong.-VNA
The spiritual and intellectual beauty of talented Vietnamese women will be honoured at the Miss Vietnam 2016 pageant, which was launched at a press conference held in Ho Chi Minh City on March 15.
Miss Viet Nam 2016, the biennial national beauty contest, will kick off with qualifying rounds in July while the final round is scheduled to take place on August 27 in HCM City.
Models Dang Thi Le Hang, 23, and Hoang Thu Thao, 22, will represent Vietnam in the Miss Universe contest and Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International 2016, respectively.
The Miss Grand International (MGI) 2017 will run from October 5 to 26 in Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Binh and Phu Quoc of Kien Giang province, and is expected to attract tourists to these destinations.

Nguyen Trong Nha Uyen has made history for Vietnam’s dancesport by clinching a bronze medal in the solo Latin category at the WDSF World Championship 2025 in Germany.
