Hanoi (VNA) 𝓡– The National Assembly (NA) on June 9 continuedthe 16th working day of its fifth sitting under the chair of NAChairman Vuong Dinh Hue.
In the morning, authorisedby the Prime Minister, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang QuocKhanh presented reports on the draft revised Land Law and public opinions on the bill. Chairman of the NA’s Economic Committee Vu Hong Thanh delivered a report verifying the draft revised Land Law. Then the legislature discussed in groups the draft law. In the afternoon, underthe direction of NA Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Dinh, the NA discussed a draft amended resolution on conducting votes of confidence for those holding positions electedor approved by the NA or the People's Councils. Most of the speakers at the discussion agreed on thenecessity of promulgating the resolution; dossiers, order, procedures and basiccontents in the draft resolution. The legislative body also discussed ingroups the draft Law on Management and Protection of Defence Works and MilitaryAreas. The NA is scheduled to discuss in groups the draft Law on CitizenshipIdentity (amended) and the draft Law on Telecommunications (amended) on June 10 morning. In the afternoon, the NA will table the draft Law on Credit Institutions (amended). Thesession will be broadcast live on the NA television channel./.
Deputies of the 15th National Assembly (NA) are scheduled to question cabinet members and approve a resolution on the NA supervision programme for 2024 on June 8 during their ongoing fifth plenary session.
The 15th National Assembly (NA) on June 8 successfully wrapped up a question-and-answer session as part of its fifth sitting after two-and-a-half days.
The 15th National Assembly adopted a resolution on its supervision programme in 2024, with 451 out of 459 votes in favour, at the fifth session in Hanoi on June 8 under the chair of NA Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong.
Stronger efforts and determination are required to achieve and surpass the set targets, especially in the eradication of makeshift and dilapidated houses nationwide, the acceleration of public investment disbursement, and the implementation of nationally important transport projects, PM Pham Minh Chinh noted.
The trip will be made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
